A Artist of music can create a picture so powerful that the words can change the way a person thinks. The word Artist is a person skilled in creative activity.  More then just vocabulary, punchlines, lyrics and content an Artist must be able to entertain, connect with an audience, create an emotion, and move people through their words.  However this is not an easy task. There are millions of so called Artist out there, but do the have everything it takes to create this powerful picture. Originality is key in all forms of art. I think Eminem said it best "There's a million m---------ers who act like me and talk like me, who just don't give a ---- like me, but that's just it, they're not quite me!" you can't consider your self an Artist if you copy others work. An original Picasso painting will run you millions but you can get a knock off for 20 on any street corner.  Don't be a knock off, follow your own lane, have an immense amount of passion for you craft and practice it to perfection. http://ipmusicgroup.blogspot.com

Tell me a story through music

Every one has a story to be told...   I looked back on my life and realized I have seen it all, been through it all, and have done and gone through things that it takes most people a lifetime to do.  As I go through facebook an look at some of the Artist and their music I can tell a lot about them, their struggles, good times, bad times, life experience and their character.  A mixtape should be that same way. A friend once told me when you listen to a mixtape you should walk away knowing the artist, have a feel for them, and their story.  A mixtape should have a beginning, middle and end.  Don't just through some music together and say the project is done, make it mean something to you and give someone else a better understanding of you. Tell me your story through your work.

Right and Wrong

Tonight's topic is not about music but about wrong choices an how they effect our lives. My daughter came to me with a very disturbing story of a little girl that was on video doing things she shouldn't have been doing.  The 14 yr old was willing and knew people were watching, was she wrong? yes. She should not be proud of what she has done but at the same time, people posting the video and the originator of the video should be charged with child pornography.  This is a child right or wrong she is still a child.  People are saying they don't feel sorry for her, she knew what she was doing. Think about it, think about where that child's mind was to allow that to happen. She thought she was going to keep the boy that she gave her virginity to, she may think that she loves him, whatever the case may be it was a desperate attempt to try an hold on to what she thought was best for her. Her choices now will affect her for the rest of her life. She made the wrong choice but should this be made into the next big thing. I hope the little girl is ok and her family is there for her, it would be ashame to lose a young life because people on the internet don't know how to act.  Everyone one has done things that they shouldn't have. Imagine if everything you have done was on tape for the world to see, would you have your job now, your spouse, your friends and family?  How would your life be if your  skeletons were visible for the world to see? I think You Tube should block the videos and let this child be. This will be a milestone in her life that she will never be able to live down, no help is needed  from people sitting on the internet with nothing better to do in their lives but laugh at someone's pain. http://ipmusicgroup.blogspot.com

LIFE LESSONS

There are always lessons to be learned in life.  Sometimes one lesson can be harder then the other. Just as in music when your faced with something you weren't planning on, had no control over or just don't like the outcome of, learn from it.  Everyday we have to adapt to our surroundings and the changes that take place in life, good or bad. When things are good there great when there bad we feel like we lose some sense of control. Regroup make the best of what ever comes at you and do what you have to do to succeed in your life career an your dream. The Path

There are times in your life when you have to sit back an think about your choices. I have come to realize that some of my choices have put me on a path that at this point can still be changed. As I learn the Music business more and more each day, I find that many should change the path that their on. This Industry is not for every one and requires work, effort, heart and a passion for the business. Look within yourself and at your goals, if your not meeting your own requirements it's time for you to change your path. Learn from others, take advise, research, find a team that you can depend on and most important, be real and true to yourself.
